Frequently asked questions:
-
Why do you charge per hour after a certain number of hours? ?
Labor and birth are beautifully unpredictable—some unfold quickly, while others take their time. My doula packages include a set number of support hours, and you have full flexibility in how those hours are used. Some clients prefer that I join them at the hospital right away, while others choose to keep me updated via text and call me in when they feel ready. It’s entirely your choice. To avoid any surprises, I outline this in the contract and explain it clearly ahead of time. If additional hours are needed beyond your package, a separate invoice will be sent with plenty of notice and transparency.
-
If we get an in person package, can we opt to have all or visits virutal instead of in person?
The first prenatal visit must be in person, as it’s essential for establishing connection and preparing for your unique birth experience. If you prefer to complete the rest of your visits virtually, just let me know before signing the contract—we’re happy to accommodate. Please note: selecting the in-person package includes both in-person labor support and the required first prenatal visit, and the price will remain the same even if additional visits are done virtually. If you’re looking for virtual support only, the Virtual Doula Package may be the best fit—it offers full guidance and care from afar while honoring your preferences

How does virtual doula package work?
This package mirrors the in-person experience but is delivered entirely online—making it a great choice for families seeking expert guidance, education, and support from afar. It includes: - Virtual prenatal visits - Labor and birth support via text and video calls - Weekly check-ins - Virtual postpartum visit During labor, I’ll stay in contact through text and video as you progress, offering reassurance, encouragement, and tailored guidance. Once baby arrives, I’ll give your family time to settle in and reconnect a few hours later to check in and support your transition. Perfect for anyone who wants trusted care, helpful resources, and compassionate support—wherever you are.

Virtual Birth Doula Package: Flat rate, as the entire experience is remote and includes
natural breaks during labor/birth. * Applicable taxes will be added to the total package price and reflected in the final invoice

may apply based on labor duration.
If labor exceeds the hours covered in your package, there's an extra charge of $50 per
hour.
*Applicable taxes will be added to the total package price and reflected in the final invoice
*Any additional fees will be invoiced separately from your initial contract invoice.
